PAN Promotes Former Turkish Ambassador Lalu Iqbal And Bima Regent To Advance NTB Gubernatorial Election
MATARAM - The National Mandate Party (PAN) brought the former Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey, Lalu Muhammad Iqbal paired with the Regent of Bima, Indah Dhamayanti Putri in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) gubernatorial election.
The chairman of the NTB PAN DPW, Muazzim Akbar, confirmed that the party bearing the sunrise symbol had decided to carry Lalu Muhammad Iqbal-Indah Mohayanti Putri (Iqbal-Dinda) to run in the NTB Pilkada.
"Yes, that's right," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 15.
He said the submission of the decision letter (SK) number PAN/A/Kpts/KU-SJ/281/VII/2024 concerning the Agreement of the Candidate Pair for Governor (Cagub) and Deputy Governor Candidate (Cawagub) was handed over directly by the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkiflihasan to Lalu Muhammad Iqbal and Regent of Bima, Indah Mohayanti Putri witnessed by the PAN DPP management in Jakarta.
"This is to register as a couple for Cagub and Cawagub in the NTB Pilkada," he said.

Based on the results of the 2024 General Election, PAN obtained four seats in the NTB DPRD. Apart from PAN, the Iqbal-Dinda pair will also be promoted by the Golkar Party (10 seats) Gerindra (10 seats), and the United Nations (two seats). 13 seats are needed to advance for the NTB Pilkada.
