Russia Claims To Seize Urozhaine Donetsk Village Ukraine
JAKARTA - The Russian Ministry of Defense claims its troops control Urozhaine village in eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine.
Ukrainian bloggers say Kyiv forces have taken control of the southwestern village of Russia-controlled Donetsk. The Ukrainian military says fighting is still happening in the region.
"As a result of successful action, the 'east' troop group has taken control of the Urozhaine region in the Donetsk region... and carried out clearing and mine operations," the Russian Ministry of Defense said via Telegram.
The village was under Russian control at the start of the February 2022 invasion, but Ukraine reclaimed settlements near the Mokri Yaly river in July 2023.

The operation is part of Ukraine's backlash in the south and east of the 1.000 km front line that has only made limited progress.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces, in a report Sunday morning, only said Russia launched 18 attacks on Urozhaine and other nearby areas. The afternoon report did not mention the village.
DeepState, Ukraine's popular military blog, reported Urozhaine was seized on Sunday after Russian forces launched mass attacks in the south of the village.
