Ahmad Dhani Calls BOXes Not Having Ethics Because Of This

JAKARTA - Ahmad Dhani again made a statement that was quite brave as a dedengkot in the music world. This time the target of the 'centile' is the KOTAK band.

Dewa 19's concept criticized Tantri et al regarding appearance royalties, or performing rights. Quoting the KOTAK setlist when appearing in Cianjur, Dhani firmly reprimanded KOTAK.

"Basing someone's debut song without the permission of the creator is an act that has no ethics and violates copyright law," Dhani wrote on his Instagram on July 14 yesterday.

In his upload, Dhani underlined songs involving Posan Tobing as a writer. As is known, the former KOTAK drummer forbade Tantri, Cella and Chua to perform these songs without permission.

The three songs are Just Leave, Still Love And Slow-Pelan Only. Since it became a dispute a few years ago until now, the problem has not yet found a middle ground.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Dhani's position is firm as part of the All-Indonesian Composite Association (AKSI), which seeks to fulfill the rights of songwriters in the country. Posan Tobing is known as one of the members of ACTION, along with several other musicians such as Rieka Roslan, Piyu, Badai to Anji.
