Failed At The Euros, Koeman Thanks The Dutch Team And Fans

JAKARTA - The Dutch coach, Ronald Koeman, posted a post on social media on Thursday, July 11 to express his sincere gratitude to his team and supporters after England eliminated the Netherlands in the semifinals of Euro 2024 at Dortmund on Wednesday, July 10.

The Netherlands returned Thursday from their headquarters in Wolfsburg after a 2-1 defeat, while Koeman posted a final message about their campaign in Germany via X (@RonaldKoeman).

"Our adventure ended painfully last night in the semifinals, in a game where our team gave everything. I am proud of this great group of players and staff, who have worked together with extraordinary dedication," he said.

"Support from all Oranje fans is also unmatched and extraordinary: wherever we go, they color the host city in orange. I want to thank everyone for this incredible journey, we show who we are and put the Netherlands back on the map."

Koeman remains a coach, where the Netherlands are now directing their sights on the 2026 World Cup, but they will first compete in the Nations League and their next game will be against Bosnia in Eindhoven on September 7 and Germany in Amsterdam on September 10.
