Holds Public Discussion On PDNS 2, APJII Hopes There Will Be Comprehensive Solutions
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) held a Public Discussion regarding the National Data Center Cybersecurity Incident that recently occurred.
Invited several sources including the Acting Director General of Aptika of the Ministry of Communication and Information and several cybersecurity practitioners, the general chairman of APJII, Muhammad Arif said that this incident requires a comprehensive solution so that it does not happen again in the future.
"APJII as the largest cyber ecosystem community in Indonesia sees that this requires comprehensive solutions and anticipatory steps for cyber attacks, so that we can avoid similar incidents," said Arif.
APJII also invites resource persons to discuss in-depth the development of the current cyber world and its connection with the recent incident, including what concrete steps have been taken by the Ministry of Communication and Information in the post-incident recovery process.
"Here we are not in the process of finding out who is wrong and right, but APJII wants to find and invite friends who have more knowledge in this regard," he said further.
As the new Acting Director General of Aptika at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics replacing Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, Ismail said that the government had done several things in recovering PDNS 2 data.

"The public communication process for the improvement of this PDNS will be carried out and coordinated by the Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs," said Ismail.
As the main conclusion at the event, Arif said that APJII will soon form a Special Task Force for Indonesian Cyberspace which aims to be the main contributor and accelerator for the creation of an optimal Indonesian Cyberspace.
This task force will cooperate with all stakeholders of the Indonesian Cyberspace, both government and private.
