JAKARTA - iOS 18 beta 3 is now present with a feature that beautifies the appearance of the iPhone home screen by automatically applying dark effects to unoptimized third-party application icons. Previously, app icons that were bright and unsupported would stand out among the darker icons, damaging dark aesthetics from the home screen.

With iOS 18 beta 3, all application icons are now adapting to dark themes, including unoptimized icons from third-party developers. This operating system automatically detects icon colors and applies dark backgrounds while trying to defend brand identities. If iOS 18 fails to apply this effect, the system will add an icon color-damped filter.

These changes encourage third-party developers to support the theme of the new app icon, as automatic effects don't always look perfect and can change their brand identity. Even so, users no longer need to face inconsistent home screens, as happened to beta 1 and 2.

In addition to the effects of the automated dark icon, iOS 18 beta 3 also introduces InSight in Apple TV apps, RCS support in more countries, and dynamic wallpapers.
