Denza Enters European Market, Brings Off Road Bao 5 Model From Fang Cheng Bao

JAKARTA - A joint venture from BYD and Mercedes Benz is set to enter the European market and will launch their first model, the Z9 GT station wagon.

Not only that, citing from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, July 9, the Fang Cheng Bao brand (under BYD) will also be part of Denza to penetrate the European market, and the Bao 5 model will be the first model to come.

This assurance was revealed by one of the local Autocar media, where European Chief of Operations Yi Sun said that BYD was in talks with potential dealers to introduce the Denza electric brand to Europe. Currently, there is no exact date for sale.

"We want to put everything under one luxury brand, BYD believes Bao 5 is suitable for the European market," he said.

To help the entry of the Denza and BYD brands into Europe, the company is strengthening its local R&D team in Europe to better meet the needs of European customers. Thus, there are two models that will enliven the European market, the first is the Z9 GT and Bao 5.

In specifications, Z9 GT has a minimalist design but still looks sporty, and has a length dimension of 5,180 mm. A width of 1,990 mm, a height of 1,500 mm, and a wheelbase: 3,125 mm.

Denza Z9 GT comes in two versions, some are all electric and PHEV, both use three electric motors. The electric all-electric version of the front motorcycle is 230 kW, while it has two electric motors behind each with a peak power of 240 kW, resulting in a combined total of 710 kW. Although the highest speed is 240 km/hour.

What is interesting about the model is the presence of two refrigerators, the first one is on the center console and the other is behind or where the hands are folded. The refrigerator has a volume of 4 liters for the front and can store 6 bottles of light drinks, and for the back it is larger up to 10 liters.

Unfortunately, the presence of the refrigerator has been heavily criticized in China for being too wasteful, and it could be a big problem for the European market as it could limit users from moving large items.

Meanwhile, for Bao 5 it is an SUV that has a fairly tough design. In dimensions, it has a length of 4,890 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, a height of 1,920 mm. This SUV is built on the Super Hybrid dual Mode Off-road (DMO) platform which has extraordinary capabilities.

In the cabin, there is a 12.3-inch digital cluster screen while in the front passenger seat there is a touch screen of the same size. Meanwhile, for the center, there is a large screen measuring 15.6 inches, as well as a head up display feature.
