Worried About Collapse, Residents Of Kelapa Gading Complaint Tower 20 Meters Above The Mosque To The DPRD

JAKARTA - A number of residents of RW 010 Pegangsaan Dua Village, Kelapa Gading District complained that there were towers or telecommunication towers built as high as 20 meters weighing 2 tons above the mosque.

They visited Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for mediation with the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Residents are worried that the tower will collapse and hit residential areas if Jakarta is hit by a disaster such as an earthquake.

Prior to the construction, the Head of RT 003 RW 010 Pegangsaan Dua Village, Wisnu Broto admitted that he had been met by the management of the Al Ihsan Mosque to allow the tower construction above the place of worship.

Broto also signed the permit because he didn't think that the tower had the potential to endanger the safety of residents. Because Broto also didn't get a picture of the tower design before it was built.

"At that time, those who came to me were mosque administrators who had been there for decades, elders. I didn't think much because this was the mosque administrator. I signed it. I don't know if the tower is very high," said Vishnu to reporters, Tuesday, July 9.

PT Bina Mitra Sehati as a telecommunications tower voter, continued Broto, never communicated at all to residents.

Residents have complained to the Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Service (Citata) and are being followed up. The tower is now sealed because it was built in a prohibited zone.

To the DPRD, residents asked for the tower to be moved to another more spacious land.

"We do not refuse to plant the tower, but it is shortened. We ask for the most expensive 6 meters. Or moved it. He (the mosque administrator) has land far from settlements," explained Broto.
