Polairud Search Still Zero, Ternate Basarnas Falls Looking For Man Falls In The Catalulu Strait

JAKARTA - The Ternate Basarnas Search and Rescue Office is searching for a resident who reportedly fell in the waters of the Catalulu Strait, Sula Islands Regency.

"Based on reports, there was a high wave around Monday (July) night causing the victim, a man named Ardin Pauwa (47) to fall into the sea around the Catalulu Strait," said Head of the Search and Rescue Office of the Ternate Basarnas Fathur Rahman in Ternate, North Maluku (Malut), Tuesday, July 9, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that previously personnel from Polairud Polres Sanana and the local community had made initial search efforts but had not yielded results.

He explained that the incident report was received by the Ternate Search and Rescue Office through the Sanana SAR Alert Unit from the victim's family named Kartini Wetona.

Chronological of the incident, on Sunday, July 8, at 21.00 WIT, the victim and three of his colleagues departed from Penu Village, North Taliabu District to Pas Ipa Village, West Mangoli District using a 40 PK long boat.

He said today the Sanana SAR Alert Unit Rescue Team moved towards the coordinates of the alleged incident using RIB 01 Sanana to search for victims.

Elements of being involved in the search include the Sanana Alert Unit, the Sanana Navy Post, the Sanana Police Polair, the Sanana community, and the victim's family.

A week earlier, Basarnas managed to find the victim who was dragged by the flood in Oba, Tidore Islands City named Ince Rumube (60). The joint SAR team finally found the victim, near Makian Island, South Halmahera Regency, in a state of death.
