Case Of Alleged Counterfeiting IUP In Morowali In Police Criminal Investigation Unit Supervision
JAKARTA - After detaining the suspect with the initials FMI. Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi) Police are expected to speed up the handling of cases of forgery of Mining Business Permits (IUP) in Morowali Regency
"We hope that the investigation of this case does not stop here, especially now that there has been a time determined based on the detention to resolve this case," said PT. Artha Bumi Mining's attorney, Happy Hayati in a written statement, Monday, July 8.
It is known that FMI has now been detained after undergoing an examination at the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Wednesday, July 3. FMI was previously named a suspect by Central Sulawesi Police investigators since May 13, 2024.
He was charged with 263 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code because he was suspected of being involved in the process of making fake letters and/or falsifying the letter of the Director General of Mineral and Coal Number 1489 regarding the Adjustment of the Production Operation IUP dated October 3, 2013.
The determination of the status of the suspect FMI is contained in the determination of the suspect FMI itself as stated in the Letter of the Director of Criminal Investigation of the Central Sulawesi Police Number: B/256/V/RES.1.9/2024/Ditreskrimum dated May 13, 2024.
"On behalf of PT. Artha Bumi Mining's attorney as a reporter, we are very grateful and appreciate the performance of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, who have detained the suspect in this case," said Happy.
Happy explained that as the reporter, his party had received a Notification on the Progress of Investigation Results (SP2HP) regarding the case of falsification of IUP documents from Central Sulawesi Police Investigators on Friday, July 5, 2024.

In this letter, it is stated that FMI will be detained for the next 20 days, from July 3 to July 22, 2024.
This case, continued Happy, has also been supervised by the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police. This is corroborated by the conduct of a special case by the Bareskrim Polri Investigation Supervisory Bureau (Rowassidik) on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
The title of a special case is a follow-up to public complaints submitted through a complaint letter dated March 27, 2024, and the results of the special case title have also been carried out by the Regional Police Investigators as submitted through SP2HP Number B/257/VI/RES.1.9./2024/Ditreskrimum dated June 21, 2024.
"It has become the supervision of Bareskrim Polri. This means that it can be assumed that there are several other people who are suspected of being involved in this forgery. Moreover, until now there is no certainty about the HM Reported Party, therefore we really hope for the consistency of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police for legal certainty," he concluded.
