Bajaj Auto Officially Launches Freedom, Motorcycle With First CNG Platform In India

JAKARTA - India's Bajaj Auto manufacturer officially launched the first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) motorcycle, which is present in three variants.

Quoting from Rushlane's website, Saturday, July 6, this one is designed to change the game of motorcycles in India, and is claimed to save 50 percent of operating costs which will be a breakthrough.

In design, this one motorbike comes with a combination of motocross and screeners with long chairs that provide comfort, coupled with mono link suspensions and fully LED lighting.

Freedom CNG is equipped with a stock frame, with a combination of 17-inch rims and some interesting features include bluetooth connectivity to a digital screen that provides a variety of vehicle information.

mechanically, Freedom is powered by a 125cc horizontal air-cooled engine that produces 9.3 hp and 9.7 Nm of power and is married to a five-speed gearbox.

The CNG tank, which is located under a seat with a capacity of 2kg, while the additional gasoline tank can accommodate 2 liters of gasoline, and the combined range is claimed to be more than 330 km.

The price of Bajaj Freedom starts from 95,000 rupees or around Rp. 18.4 million which comes with a variety of color choices, including Pewter Gray, Ebony Black, Racing Red, Cyber White and Caribbean Blue.

As is known, the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) platform is a natural gas that is compressed and stored in a tank. When used for driving, the gas is put into an engine that will mix with air. The way it works is no different from the internal combustion engine for gasoline personnel.

Based on a report from Ride Apart, CNG is claimed to be more environmentally friendly because it produces fewer pollutants, and extends the age of internal combustion engines.
