Google To Start Pixel Production In India In September

JAKARTA Google will produce Pixel phones in India in the near future. The company will also export devices made in India to various countries in the European Union (EU) and the United States (US). The Alphabet kid first unveiled plans to produce devices in India in October last year. Google says that India is a priority market for Pixel phones. The reason is, this country continues to develop to become a manufacturing hub for hardware. Google also revealed that it will partner with international and domestic manufacturers to produce Pixel phones in India. Apparently, this plan will be realized soon. Last May, it was revealed that Google had chosen a place to produce Pixel devices. Now, Money Control reports that Google will test the first production of Pixel phones.

The company will work closely with Dixon Technologies, an electronics manufacturer based in India, in launching the Pixel 9. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro will be manufactured by Foxconn through other manufacturer factories in the country. Google will also reportedly export most of the devices manufactured in India to the EU and US. They deliberately do not market most of the devices in India because the sales figures of Pixel devices in the country are still very low. Reportedly, production of the Pixel 9 series in India will begin in September, a month after the device was launched. To date, no leaks have been made regarding other devices to be produced in India.
