Ministry Of Transportation: Demak And Sebakul Water Terminal Operates In 2025
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed that next year there will be two Type A terminals operating, namely the Demak Terminal in West Java, and the Sebakul Water Terminal in Bengkulu.
Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Risyapudin Nurdin explained that the construction of the two terminals is still ongoing and is targeted to be completed this year. That way, both of them can operate in 2025,
"Of the 112 that have been submitted to the Directorate General of Hubdat (from the local government), two of them are still in the construction process, namely the Demak terminal, and the Sebakul Water Terminal. We target the two terminals to be operated by 2025," he said during a meeting with Commission V DPR, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.
Quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Transportation, Demak Terminal was originally targeted for completion in 2020. However, the operation of the terminal has not been carried out until now.
Teminal Type A Demak is located in Jogoloyo Village, Wonosalam District, West Java. The cancellation of this terminal cost around Rp. 60 billion from the state budget.
Meanwhile, the Sebakul Water Terminal will be built starting in 2023 and is targeted to be completed this year. The total budget for the construction of this terminal is IDR 10 billion for the first phase, and IDR 15 billion will be added.
For your information, the two terminals are part of the 112 Type A passenger terminals that have been handed over by the local government to the Ministry of Transportation.

Previously, it was reported that the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Risyapudin Nurdin explained that the total terminal of Type A passengers in Indonesia reached 128 terminals.
Of the jumlaj, he said, 112 terminals have been submitted to the Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Hubdat, 7 terminals under the authority of BPTJ, 2 terminals under the Special Transportation Agency for the Capital City and 7 terminals have not yet been submitted.
"Three of them are the Betan Subing Terminal, Liwas Terminal and Bangkalan Terminal are not operating," he said.
