Iranian Acting Foreign Minister Reminds Israel Not To Try To Attack Lebanon: Will Be Hell

JAKARTA - Acting Iranian Foreign Minister warned Israel that military aggression against Lebanon would only see them mire into hell, without a return.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Ali Bagheri Kani warned the Zionist regime against attacking Lebanon.

"Lebanon will definitely be a hell for Zionists," he said, launching the Tasnim News Agency July 3.

While citing Al Mayadeen, Bagheri said the resistance group in Lebanon, Hezbollah, which is an active actor in Lebanon militarily and diplomatically, played an important role in creating a deterrent force in the region during the "Israel" war in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel is known to have approved plans to carry out a ground attack on southern Lebanon, to allow tens of thousands of Israelis to return to their homes, as quoted by The National News, although it is also possible to find a diplomatic solution.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah said it would not end its attacks until Israel stopped its bombings in the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, Gaza's health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli attacks since October 7 had risen to 37,953, while 87,262 others were injured. The majority of victims were women and children, quoted from WAFA.

Deputy leader of Hezbollah Naim Qassem reiterated the stance on Tuesday, telling the Associated Press his group "will stop its attacks without any discussion" if there is a ceasefire in Gaza.
