Opel Opens Orders For Electric And Hybrid Fronteras, Prices Starting From IDR 425 Million

JAKARTA - The competition for affordable electric cars in Europe is now getting fiercer. Opel officially opened the booking tap for Europe's newest Frontera, which comes with electric and hybrid engine options.

This environmentally friendly SUV is offered at competitive prices, starting from 23,900 euros (around Rp421 million) for the hybrid variant and for 28,990 euros for electricity (EV) (around Rp511 million).

The latest frontera looks dashing with the typical Opel design. This car also offers a field cabin with options 5 or 7 passengers. Interestingly, for the hybrid variant, the addition of the last two seats only costs 800 euros (around Rp. 14 million).

Our new platform offers great practicality and value for money. A tough design combined with competitive prices for electric or hybrid versions will definitely be favored by customers. This newcomer shows our ambition to further promote electromobility," said Opel CEO Florian Huettl, in a manufacturer release, July 3.

Tough And Various Views Of Practical Features

Frontera's flagship Opel design made it stand out immediately. In addition, Frontera is the first production model to feature a new Opel Blitz emblem in the middle of the fascia in front of Opel Vizor. The prominent wheel curvature and the eye-catching C pillar design further emphasize their tough character.

Modern impressions with a focus on important things continue smoothly in the interior. Drivers and passengers are presented with a cockpit with a new steering circle design and two 10-inch (optional) wide screens. Alternatively, Frontera also offers innovative smartphone stations, allowing customers to use their own smartphone power as an infotainment system.

Extensive baggage capacity is a top priority for the new Frontera. A total of 460 liters of baggage can be stored; with seats folded even up to 1,594 liters. Additional flexibility is provided by back seats that can be divided by 60:40, while additional baggage floors are available as standard. In addition, customers who need to bring more luggage can choose an optional functional rooftop rail.

Opel is trying to bring convenience and focus on important things on the new Frontera - from machine options to equipment options and booking processes.

The new frontera is available in a choice of hybrid engines with 48 voltage or full electric technology. For Frontera Hybrid has a 1.2-liter 74 kW (100 hp) turbo gasoline engine developed specifically for hybrid use. This machine works together with a 21 kW electric motor (28 hp) and a dual coupling transmission of six electric accelerations, so the consumption of fuel and CO2 emissions is much lower than conventional powered models. In addition, the Hybrid Frontera is also available with a 1.2 100 kW (136 hp) turbo engine with prices ranging from 25,700 euros (equivalent to IDR 453 million)

For the EV version, it is said that the range of the car is up to 305 kilometers (based on WLTP2) and then for the "Long Range" version which has not been sold, it is promised to be able to travel up to about 400 kilometers (WLTP2).
