Death Of Journalist In Medan Allegedly Related To Gambling News Involving Soldiers, TNI AD Opens Doors To Public Reports

Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army Brigadier General Kristomei Sianturi opened the door to people who want to report or provide evidence regarding the involvement of TNI AD soldiers in gambling allegedly the cause of the death of a Medan journalist named Rico Perfect Pasaribu and his family.

"In fact, it will help our duties in investigating the matter later. If it is proven, we will definitely process the law according to the applicable regulations and regulations," Kristomei said when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 2, as quoted by Antara.

According to Kristomei, the gambling issue carried out by his subordinates needs to be proven so that the information does not become a mere rumor. This information must be straightened out, it will not cause a commotion in the community.

If there are several parties who provide strong evidence that their members are involved in gambling and are the masterminds of the killing of Rico and one family, then the TNI AD is ready to investigate and take firm action against these individuals.

"The Indonesian Army always responds to indications of the reported indications and checks the truth of any information provided," said Kristomei.

Previously, based on information circulating in the mass media, Rico was a journalist in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, who died tragically after his house located on Jalan Nambung Surbakti Ujung caught fire on Thursday, June 27.

Not only Rico died, his wife, children and grandchildren also died in the burning house.

Berdasarkan akun Instagram @merindink yang mengunggah informasi tersebut, dikatakan bahwa kebakaran tersebut berkaitan dengan kasus judi dan perdagangan narkoba yang sedang diliputi Rico beberapa hari terakhir.

Drug and gambling activities located on Jalan Bom Ginting, Lau Cimba, Kaban Ginger, Karo, North Sumatra are suspected of involving TNI AD soldiers.
