Minister Of Law And Human Rights Ensures That The Decision On The Democrat Congress Is Researched Professionally
JAKARTA - The decision of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) regarding the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) of the Democratic Party in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra will certainly be taken professionally and with great care. This was confirmed directly by the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly.
This affirmation was conveyed by Yasonna in a joint working meeting with Commission III of the House of Representatives in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 17. Initially, he responded to a prayer made by the Democrat politician from the Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) team, Benny K Harman.
At that time, Benny claimed to have received 'aspirations' from party cadres bearing the Mercy Star logo throughout Indonesia so that the Minister of Law and Human Rights would be in good health.
"Friends said 'please convey Mr. Benny, we all pray across religions, across cultures, so that he (Yasonna, ed.) Is healthy, away from COVID, so that the mind remains bright, remains intelligent, and can solve problems including the problems of the nation," said Benny, imitating the expectations of the Democrat cadres.
Indirectly, Benny also hopes that the Minister of Law and Human Rights will remain upright in resolving any legal issues. "If there is a problem related to us (chaotic Democrats, ed), of course, that is also the hope," he said with a smile.
Hearing this, Yasonna then replied that he was currently in good health. "Thank you for praying, I am healthy. I do not know that over there (the KLB Deli Serdang team, red) pray too, which one to be heard, that is the prayer," said the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Laoly jokingly.
Furthermore, this PDIP politician also emphasized that the ministry he leads will do everything in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights, continued Yasonna, will be professional in making decisions related to the problems that hit the Democratic Party.
"Yes, there are personal matters, there are matters of people having political rights, etc. But we have clear rules, just leave it up, we will take decisions professionally," he said.
On that occasion, Yasonna also explained that his party had received the results of the Extraordinary Congress of Democrats since Monday, March 15. Currently, the file is being investigated by his subordinates.
"Two days ago (received, red) by the Director-General. Now in the file research stage, we are looking at the legislation of party's Article of Association and Bylaws," he said.
The Ministry of Law and Human Rights, said Yasonna, will see the Extraordinary Congress implementation document and its endorsement. If there is a dispute, it will be followed up as well as if there is something that needs to be completed or corrected.
In addition, he ensured that it would take time for his ministry to check documents related to the management of the party bearing the Mercy star. The reason is that his party must prioritize caution in handling internal problems in the Democratic Party.
"We have only had enough documents in our team for one day, we have to check one by one. For example, the management, it is true that this is not the management, because we were also given a letter from AHY. Later we will cross-check it from the existing Decree (Surat Keputusan/SK)," he explained.
Yasonna hopes that in relation to this matter, decisions can be taken quickly so that it does not drag on. After checking according to the applicable law.
Meanwhile, regarding the Political Party Law regarding the Party Court, he said he was still waiting for the court's decision. Because both camps are both filing a lawsuit.
"Later, when we take it, we have to serve it in the letter. If I have made a decision. There are still disputes, so those who fight in court are the mechanisms," he said.
Regarding this submission, the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party for the Head of Presidential Staff Office Moeldoko, Jhoni Allen Marbun, admitted that he was sure that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights would endorse the outcome of the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) which overthrew AHY. His belief is based on existing legislation.
"In terms of the prevailing laws and regulations, I am sure. If I am not sure, I will not do that," Jhoni told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 16.

He also did this in order to fight for the rights of Demorkat Party cadres throughout Indonesia. Because, so far, there have been rights amputated by the management of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
"Without preceding God Almighty, I am 100 percent sure. But back to God Almighty," said Jhoni.
It is known, based on the results of the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) of the Democrat Party in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Moeldoko, who is now the President's Chief of Staff, was appointed as the General Chairman replacing AHY who is the son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). While acting as chairman of the supervisory board is Marzuki Alie.
Meanwhile, regarding other positions in the party, some time ago, Marzuki Alie was reluctant to elaborate further. However, he said, young people would be involved in this arrangement and this made the submission of files to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights a little longer.
