The North Maluku Police Chief Withdraws The West Halmahera Regent's Aide Who Hits Residents
JAKARTA - North Maluku Police Chief (Malut) Inspector General Midi Siswoko withdrew West Halmahera (Halbar) Regent Police Brigadier Charles Aniky who beat one of the residents for questioning.
"The person concerned has been withdrawn to the Regional Police Headquarters for questioning," said the North Maluku Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 1.
According to the North Maluku Police Chief, if the members are found guilty, the law will be processed according to applicable regulations.
"The position of the case is like what, so Propam is still being investigated, including witnesses," said the two-star general.
Previously, on June 24, an aide from the Halbar Regent, James Uang, beat a resident in the area named Hardi.
The beating took place when the public held a hearing with Regent James Uang in the hall of the Halbar Regent's Office regarding the scarcity of fuel oil (BBM) in the district.
