Chinese Citizen Arrested By Police In Abu Dhabi Tricks 800 Indonesian Citizens With Job Lure
Deputy Director of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri Kombes Dani Kustoni said a Chinese citizen with the initials SZ who was arrested in Abu Dhabi, committed an online fraud crime with victims of 800 Indonesian citizens who were promised job vacancies.
"The victim was approximately 800 people, lured by job vacancies, and lost hundreds of billions," said Dani, Friday, June 28.
Dani has not detailed the job vacancies where the perpetrators promised the victims, and how the perpetrators deceived the victim.
In addition to online fraud, suspect SZ is also suspected of being involved in international networks in criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO).
"International networks are job scams such as having to be 'like' or'subscribe' to content," he said.
Because currently investigators are focused on examining the suspect who was once a fugitive on the Bareskrim Polri wanted list (DPO), until he was finally arrested by Interpol in Abu Dhabi last week.

Suspect SZ was sent back to Indonesia, arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Thursday (27/6), then an intensive examination was carried out.
The arrest of SZ is the result of the development of the arrest of other suspects.
Investigators, said Dani, are investigating other suspects involved in the international network of online fraud and TIP.
