3 People Died In Accident On Sibanceh Toll Road

The Aceh Regional Police Traffic Directorate stated that three people died in an accident on the Sigli Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) Toll Road in Aceh Besar District.

Aceh Police Traffic Director Kombes Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy said the accident occurred on Friday, June 28, at around 16.30 WIB

"The accident involved the Honda Freed minibus in a pickup truck. The previous victim died one person, an increase of two people, bringing it to three people. While the injured were four people," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

The three victims who died were Saiful Rahman (62) and Nurjani (35), both minibus passengers, residents of Gampong Lamteh, Ulee Kareng District, Banda Aceh City, and another Marzuki (50), a pickup truck driver, a resident of Gampong Lamcot, Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar District.

The accident began when a minibus with police number BL 1741 LV drove from the Indrapuri Toll Gate to the Jantho Toll Gate, Aceh Besar District.

Meanwhile, the L300-type open tub car with the police number BL 8186 JG stopped on the shoulder of the left road. The pickup truck is used by toll road cliff grass maintenance workers.

"At that time, the minibus was thought to have been traveling at high speed. Arriving at the KM 38+00 crime scene, the car had a left rear tire burst," he said.

The driver lost control and hit an open L300 pickup truck parked on the shoulder of the road. The pickup truck was pushed and hit two people standing in front of his left.

The accident caused both vehicles to be heavily damaged. The weather at the time of the incident was sunny and the traffic was quiet. This case is being handled by the Traffic Unit of the Aceh Besar Police.

"From the results of the crime scene, 38 gas cylinders containing three kilograms were found in the minibus whose tires were broken. The police will investigate the whereabouts of the dozens of gas cylinders," said Muhammad Iqbal.
