BYD Officially Opens The Pre-order Period Of Yangwang U7 Luxury Sedans, Take A Peek At Its Advantages
JAKARTA - At the beginning of the year BYD revealed the appearance of the Yangwang U7 sedan. Now, this manufacturer from China has opened a pre-order period in the second half of this year.
Launching from CarNewsChina, Friday, June 28, BYD has not disclosed the official price of the luxury sedan. However, it is estimated that Yangwang U7 is priced at around 1 million yuan (IDR 2.25 billion).
According to leaked catalogs from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology China (MIIT), this luxury sedan has a dimension of relief with a length of 5,265 mm, a width of 1,998 mm, a height of 1,517 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm.
Another interesting thing is that Yangwang U7 has the lowest coefficient drag in the world by reaching the Cd number 0.195 at a speed of 120 km/hour. However, this figure is actually slightly higher than the Xpeng Mona M03 which reached 0.194.
This car was founded on the e4 platform, the same architecture as the U9 Yangwang supercar. The sedan also introduces the latest Disus-Z suspension system. Interestingly, suspension movement is used for energy recovery to charge batteries.
BYD also said that this luxury sedan has a smart driving system from TianShen. With a computing power of 508 TOPS, input from a series of sensors consisting of 3 Lidar units, a wavelength radar of 5 millimeters, and 13 cameras is needed.
Meanwhile, on the inside, this car offers elements of luxury with a display of three screens that span the dashboard. This Chinese manufacturer offers two configuration options, namely four to five seats.
Talking about performance, YangWang U7 has four electric motors, each of which produces 240 kW of power and emits a combined power of up to 960 kW. Thus, the car is capable of traveling up to 270 km/hour.
Then, BYD also offers two distances to this model, namely 720 km and 800 km. Internal power is generated from a 135.5 kWh battery pack from the finDreams supplier. However, the battery weight is up to 903 kg high, producing this car in total of 3,095 kg.
Yangwang is a sub-brand of BYD competing in the premium vehicle segment. Currently, this brand sells U8 EREV as an off-road car. Not only U7, this brand is also preparing other models such as U9 and an unnamed crossover.
