Nissan Skyline Modern Restoration GT-R R34 By Built By Legend

JAKARTA - Nissan Skyline GT-R, especially the R34 model, remains an icon for automotive lovers around the world. Its strong appeal makes many people still want this legendary car, both for collection and for modification.

One of the companies restoring this model is the Built by Legend, which has succeeded in turning this 25-year-old car into more modern and sophisticated.

"Our goal is to issue GT-R's true potential as a driver's car and provide a world-class driving experience," said Masaharu Kuji, CEO & Co-Founder of Built by Legend, as quoted by Carscoops, Thursday, June 27.

The restoration project carried out by this Japanese company is very thorough. They started by conducting 3D 108-point alignment tests to ensure the precision of the vehicle structure before strengthening it. More stiff support panels, a support for engine covers, and an OEM hood ridge panel were added to increase the stiffness of the chassis. In addition, they also use anticarat epoxy and dual-tone chassis paint that customers can choose.

To increase structural rigidity, Built by Legend added 400 welding points to the chassis. However, this restoration does not stop there. Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 is also given improvements to various spare parts, including new suspensions, brakes from AP Racing, and body panels from carbon fibers to reduce vehicle weights.

Despite the modern improvements, the company also provides flexibility to customers. They can choose to maintain old parts or combine them with the latest components as desired.

The R34 modification by Built by Legend also includes a MINES machine paired with a manual transmission of six accelerations, capable of generating up to 650 dk of power. However, the company did not disclose details regarding the acceleration and maximum speed of this iconic car.

Speaking of prices, Built by Legend sells this modified version of Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 at a price of around 450,000 US dollars (Rp 7.3 billion).
