Build Competent Human Resources, Ministry Of Industry Collaborates With 2 Japanese Companies For Machinery And Energy

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is collaborating with two Japanese industrial companies, namely Morimitsu Industry Co., Ltd and AAI Co., Ltd. This collaboration is carried out to develop industrial human resources (HR), including the implementation of vocational education.

For your information, Morimitsu Industry Co., Ltd is a company engaged in the energy industry and manufacturing of machinery.

Meanwhile, AAI Co., Ltd is a company engaged in consulting business development and renewable energy.

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said, Indonesia and Japan continue to support each other and share profits in cooperation in the industrial sector.

"Japan is one of the countries that has a long history of supporting industrialization in Indonesia by bringing investment in the manufacturing industry sector into the country," said Minister of Industry Agus in a written statement, quoted Wednesday, June 26.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, June 25 local time, in mastery, Japan, the signing of a collaboration between the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan and the CEO of Morimitsu Industry Co., Ltd, Mitsusaki Shunji and Chairman of AAI Co., Ltd, Nakamura Hirohide.

The collaboration in the implementation of industrial vocational education will last for five years.

Masrokhan expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been carried out. This is because the two Japanese companies have now become part of the development of industrial human resources in Indonesia.

He hopes that this collaboration will produce competent human resources in supporting increased production and innovation in the national manufacturing industry sector.

"This effort is a tangible manifestation of the Ministry of Industry opening international classes in Japan," he said.

In its implementation, this collaboration will involve the vocational education unit belonging to the Ministry of Industry, namely the Makassar ATI Polytechnic.

"We want students at the AtI Makassar Polytechnic who take part in this program to have the opportunity to practice industrial work in Morimitsu. Next, we hope they pass and can work in this company," he said.

According to Masrokhan, this working visit to Japan is also to increase cooperation with various institutions in Japan, especially in the field of industrial vocational education.

"We want to learn and exchange experiences related to the management of vocational education as well as discuss the preparation of curriculum, implementation of education, preparation of facilities and infrastructure and development of education infrastructure," he said.

In addition, he said, it is hoped that they can gain new knowledge, additional experiences and examples of the best practices in organizing vocational education.

"So we are sure that this working visit will provide valuable insight. In the future, we can apply it in the development of industrial human resources in Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, Masrokhan revealed, currently the Ministry of Industry has 13 universities and 9 vocational schools that hold vocational education.

He claimed that his party was able to produce graduates who were ready to work according to the needs of the industrial world today.

"All of our schools are developed competency-based with certain industrial specializations, by ensuring that graduates have the specific competencies needed in the industrial sector," he explained.

Currently, he continued, the number of graduates of SMK and Polytechnic belonging to the Ministry of Industry reaches 6,000 people per year and in general, many have been ordered by the industry at the time of graduation.

"Of course, we will also feel very happy if Morimitsu and AAI become part of efforts to develop competent industrial human resources in Indonesia," he concluded.
