Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto asked the TNI, Polri, and BIN to map out areas with the potential for conflict during the 2024 Pilkada stage.
"Especially for the TNI, Polri, and BIN, the presence of BIN earlier, in the mapping of the region must map areas that have the potential for conflict. For what purpose? To anticipate if there is a security disturbance," Hadi said at the Coordination Meeting for the Preparedness of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Maluku which were witnessed from Jakarta, Wednesday.
He explained that mapping is needed so that mitigation can be carried out before there is a disturbance to the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.
"The TNI, Polri, BIN must be powerful, know before the incident, so that it can be mitigated first," he explained.
Hadi's request is one of the aspects needed to support the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.
In addition, he said another aspect is the synergy between the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) in keeping the digital space atmosphere conducive.
"If there are news that is not right, it is immediately taken down. It is possible that if a virus enters the website, BSSN has given a warning, be careful that there is a virus on the website of each ministry or related to the implementation of simultaneous regional elections, so there are no problems," he said.

Furthermore, he said that other aspects are the synergy of tasks between the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), the National Police, and the Attorney General's Office.
"This is through a forum with the Integrated Law Enforcement Center, Gakkumdu, which tomorrow I will also provide guidance in handling every violation at the regional election stage. From Bawaslu, the Attorney General's Office, Polri, this plays a role so that problems do not occur. Must be maintained," he explained.
Meanwhile, Hadi said that his party had formed a Decree on Election Coordination and Regional Head Elections in which there were 19 ministries/agencies that had links to tasks in terms of readiness for the implementation, security, handling of violations, and socialization related to the pilkada stages.
"Thus, it is hoped that various problems that may become obstacles in the implementation of simultaneous regional elections can be coordinated, can be resolved, and can be resolved as well as possible. The coordination desk has several roles and duties from the ministry of institutions that need to be synergized in order to succeed in the simultaneous regional elections," he explained.
On that occasion, he also conveyed five directions; including maintaining stability in the field of Ppolhukam, increasing coordination between the central and regional governments, facilitating the implementation of regional elections, maintaining unity and integrity, and increasing political education.
