KPK Continues Investigation Of Allegations Of Corruption Procurement Of 16 Rapid Patrol Boat Units At The Directorate General Of Customs And Excise

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is again investigating corruption in procurement at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise regarding the procurement of 16 Rapid Patrol Boat Units at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the 2013-2015 Fiscal Year. There were six witnesses in this case who were examined today.

"Today it is scheduled to examine witnesses for alleged corruption at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise," said KPK Spokesperson Tesa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, June 26.

Tessa detailed that the six witnesses are Bekti and Fuad who are surveyors of PT BKI Surabaya Branch; Tonies and Dian who are admins of PT BKI Surabaya Branch; Head of Marketing Section of PT DTPS, R. Adi Tjahjono; and President Director of PT DTPS, Andy Bintoro. The examination was carried out at the East Java Police," he said.

In this case, the KPK has announced three suspects in 2019 or during the leadership of Agus Rahardjo. They are Prajastanto as Commitment Making Officer, Heru Sunarwanto as Chair of the Auction Committee, and Amir Gunawan as President Director of PT Daya Radar Utama (DRU).

Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Saut Situmorang, at that time, said that the alleged state loss reached Rp. 117,736,941,127. The case began when Prajastanto directed the auction committee not to choose a certain company because he had determined the company to be summoned.

The value of the project budget allocation reached Rp1.12 trillion and began in 2012. The ship purchased did not reach the specified speed during the trial.

However, Customs and Excise still accepts and pays 9 of the 16 ships carried out by the company. During the IPR procurement process, it is suspected that they received 7 thousand euros as sale machine agents used by 16 ships," Saut said at a press conference on May 21, 2019.
