Land Bank Agency Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With J Trust Bank And J Trust Consulting Indonesia

JAKARTA The Land Bank Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) and PT J Trust Consulting Indonesia to utilize one of the land for the Land Bank Agency located in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), East Kalimantan Province.

Through this memorandum of understanding, J Trust Consulting Indonesia was appointed as a partner of the Land Bank Agency, with the exclusive mandate to introduce and handle Japanese investors who will invest in the land management rights area (HPL) of the Land Bank Agency.

Meanwhile, J Trust Bank will support Japanese investors in terms of finance.

Head of the Agency for the Implementation of the Land Bank Agency, Parman Natamatmadja welcomed the signing of the MoU with J Trust Consulting Indonesia and J Trust Bank.

This collaboration is expected to further strengthen economic relations from Indonesia and Japan that have been well established.

"We hope that Japan will become a friend who invests in Indonesia, especially in the HPL of the Land Bank Agency. This is in line with our efforts to create inclusive cooperation and provide wider economic benefits for the people of Indonesia, especially those in our HPL area and its surroundings," said Parman in signing a memorandum of understanding, Wednesday, June 26.

The HPL of the Land Bank Agency which is currently being developed is the Penajam Eco City project located in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), East Kalimantan Province. This area is one of the land inventory assets of the Land Bank Agency from a total area of 18,758 Ha throughout Indonesia.

Parman conveyed that the eco city concept offers a healthy, environmentally friendly, and sustainable city.

In addition, according to Parman, this concept teaches to return to nature and save energy, encourages cities to provide as much green open space as possible, and city management that is balanced on aspects of the environment, economy, natural resources, and human beings themselves.

Parman said that the Eco city does not only expand green space, is efficient in energy, but human behavior in it is also a concern.

"We want to participate in creating justice in the land sector and creating a fair economy in the PPU, but we cannot be alone. Therefore, we are collaborating with J Trust Consulting Indonesia and J Trust Bank to invite Japanese investors to invest there and in our other HPLs in the future," he explained.

Parman said that this collaboration is also expected to create jobs and become a beacon for economic growth in Indonesia.

So that both countries can become the driving force for Asian economic progress.

To note, the Land Bank Agency is a special agency formed by the central government and is given the authority to ensure land availability in the context of a just economy for the public interest, social interests, national development interests, economic equity, land consolidation, and agrarian reform.

On the same occasion, President Director of J Trust Consulting Indonesia, Takeshi Ikeda explained that J Trust Consulting Indonesia was present in Indonesia to provide consulting services such as business matching and marketing by utilizing J Trust Group global knowledge and experience.

Takeshi hopes that through the MoU with the Land Bank Agency, it can contribute to the Indonesian economy and support the development of the State Capital and also of course in the development of economic programs and activities from investors from Japan.

"J Trust Bank as a financial institution that is part of the MoU is ready to provide support in the form of Japanese standard banking services such as financing investors through its 46 branch offices spread across big cities in Indonesia," he said.

Similarly, the Director of Business J Trust Bank, Widjaja Hendra expressed his gratitude to the Land Bank Agency for the opportunity given to J Trust Bank to be able to contribute to the Penajam Eco City project in North Penajam Paser, whose existence will support the development of the new National Capital, namely the Archipelago.

Widjaja Hendra conveyed that J Trust Bank is committed to playing an active role in business activities in the country where Japanese business actors can take advantage of business opportunities in Indonesia.
