Hasto's Attorney Urges Dewas To Immediately Process Report On The Ethical Violation Of KPK Investigators

JAKARTA - PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney urged the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to immediately process their report regarding alleged ethical violations of KPK investigators.

The violation reported by Hasto's team was in the form of confiscation of phones and books from the PDI-P DPP from the staff of the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi. This happened when Hasto was examined as a witness by the KPK.

"We are waiting and we hope that the Council can immediately process our complaint," said Ronny when met at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 25.

Ronny said that recently the legal team had added new evidence. This is related to the receipt of evidence which was changed to June 10, 2024, similar to the day of examination.

In fact, Ronny said that during the confiscation of Hasto and Kusnadi's cellphones and the PDIP book, the receipt was written April 23, 2024.

"Here we see a gap in the unprofessionalism of investigators," said Ronny.

According to Ronny, the search and confiscation of Hasto's personal belongings was carried out by trapping. Because, when Hasto underwent an examination, an investigator named Rossa Purbo Bekti said that Kusnadi was summoned by Hasto.

It turned out that Kusnadi was summoned to a different investigator's room from Hasto. Investigators immediately searched and confiscated the items that Kusnadi brought, including Hasto's cellphone.

"So we seek justice, of course we will not stop, we will take other legal measures. We are waiting for the KPK friends. If indeed what is confiscated, what is confiscated, it has nothing to do with it, please return it," said Ronny.

On that occasion, Ronny was sure that there was a political charge for Hasto's examination at the KPK. This is indicated by the momentum of the examination that was carried out ahead of entering the 2024 Pilkada, and the Harun Masiku case, which has been brought up for a long time, seems to have been brought up again.

"There it is clear that when the critical attitude of the Secretary General of the PDI-P, the Harun Masiku issue will rise. And if we look at the April-March, we are facing the regional election and that is the issue rising again," said Ronny.
