After Visiting Japan, Minister Of Industry Agus Wants Indonesian Manufacturing Company To Participate In This Exhibition
JAKARTA - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said participating in global exhibitions is important to further spur the domestic manufacturing industry. The reason is that in this event, of course, there is a lot of business potential.
Minister of Industry Agus gave an example of the international Tokyo Show 29th Edition which was held on 19-21 June 2024 by presenting 2,100 manufacturing industry companies, such as metal processing, mechanical equipment, chains, machinery, vehicles, compressors and pipes.
"Last week I had the opportunity to visit Manufacturing World Tokyo 2024. The exhibition prioritizes various states of the art technology that are very important for the development of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia. I will encourage and ensure that in Tokyo Manufacturing World next year there will be Indonesian companies participating," Agus said in his official statement, quoted on Tuesday, June 25.
Agus said that in the exhibition event there was an agenda for meetings between companies (business to business) that had the potential to increase investment realization in the country.

"This kind of activity has the potential to encourage manufacturing developments in the country," he said.
On his working visit to Japan, Agus also met with the Chairman of The Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) Ishiguro Norihiko to discuss optimizing industrial cooperation between Indonesia and Japan through Jetro research.
According to Agus, the targeted sectors are mainly related to small and medium industries, decarbonization issues and a green economy.
"We hope that Jetro, as an organization under the Japanese government that is moving to promote trade and investment promotion, can become a facilitator for companies in Indonesia to enter into partnership agreements with Japanese companies within the framework of a green economy," he added.
