Gibran Calls Surakarta City Government Collaborates With India To Partner Technology

The Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, said that the Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) is collaborating with India as a partner in cooperation in the future.

Related to this, Gibran said the cooperation that might be established, namely in the technology sector.

"I have brought the proposal of the Indian Ambassador, there is AI or artificial intelligence," he said in Solo, Central Java, Sunday, June 23, which was confiscated by Antara.

However, he did not want to explain in more detail regarding the possibility of the cooperation. "Some of our cooperation is explored, details will be later," he added.

He admitted that he had sent a team to India to start exploring the cooperation.

"Pak Prabowo has also been stationed. There are several of our teams that have been sent there too," he said.

Previously, Gibran and Indian Ambassador to Indonesia Sandeep Chakravorty attended the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and India at the Surakarta City Hall Courtyard, Saturday, June 22 evening.

"This event is very important to us because we celebrate 75 years of diplomatic between India and Indonesia," he said.

He said India was the country that recognized Indonesia's independence and sovereignty at the earliest on September 2, 1946.

Regarding the warning, he deliberately chose Solo City as the venue for the commemoration of Indonesia-India relations.

"A few months ago I met Pak Gibran to ask for permission to hold this event and it was approved. We chose the city of Solo because of Pak Gibran," he said.

As a series of events, 10th International Day of Yoga was also held on Sunday morning at the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace Complex.
