Propose Pretrial So The Reason For The Former Chairman Of The North Maluku Gerindra DPD Not To Come To The KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) canceled examining the former chairman of the North Maluku Gerindra Party (Malut) DPD Muhaimin Syarif today. He should have been investigated for alleged bribery and money laundering (TPPU) of the inactive North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba.
"Terperiksa Muhaimin Syarif hari ini tidak hadir," kata Juru Bicara KPK Tessa Mahardika kepada wartawan di gedung Merah Putih KPK, Kuningan Persada, Jakarta Selatan, Jumat, 21 Juni.
Muhaimin said that Tessa was not present because she was carrying out a pretrial process. Although respecting but that reason is considered unnatural.
"We convey that the KPK respects the person concerned in carrying out or submitting a pretrial process. However, it is not or is not a basis that can be categorized as appropriate and reasonable for those concerned not to be present," he said.
Therefore, in the future Muhaimin was asked to fulfill the investigator's summons. However, Tessa has not specified when it will be.
"Those are two different incidents and investigators in this case expect the person concerned to be present if there is a next call," he said.
"So according to the Criminal Procedure Code, if the first summons is deemed unable to attend because the reason is inappropriate or reasonable, then a second summons will be given to the person concerned," continued Tessa.
