ASDP Rules Protest, Crossing Service Truck Management Closes All Access To Bakauheni Port
LAMPUNG BANDAR - Hundreds of ferry service truck managers closed all access to passengers and goods to Bakauheni Port, South Lampung Regency, today.Based on observations at the location, the hundreds of people are members of the organization that manages the Bakauheni Port crossing service truck, taking to the road to close the Sumatra road to the port entrance.Deputy Chairperson of the Bakauheni Port Service Truck Management, Edi Manap, said the purpose of the action was to channel aspirations regarding the rejection of the regulation set by ASDP regarding the prohibition of management from entering the dock area."Here I represent my truck management colleagues to channel the aspirations of rejecting ASDP regulations, and we have sent a letter to ASDP a few days ago, but there is no follow-up," said Edi Manap when interviewed in South Lampung, Antara, Friday, June 21.He said his party had also held hearings with ASDP, BPTD, and other related parties regarding the aspirations channeled by truck managers crossing Bakauheni Port."We represent the truck management who have sent a letter to ASDP, but there is no certainty. So, with the discussion earlier, we can't confirm it or not, there is still no clarity. It's not a truck riding a ship, but there are many other regulations that we have to run," he said.Head of the Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD) of Lampung Region, Bambang, said ASDP only implemented Ministerial Regulation Number 91 of 2021 to challenge the Sterilization of the Port Pier Area.
"Their demands are that all of them want to escort the truck into the dock, to get on the ship. Because this Ministerial Regulation 91 of 2021 has been implemented for 2 years, so the point is that it needs to be implemented, not only in Bakauheni, in Merak as well," said Bambang.
