Becoming The Most "Seki" Region, PDIP Will Seriously Calculate The Nomination Of The Jakarta Regional Head Election
JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Eriko Sotarduga confirmed that his party would carry out serious calculations regarding the nomination of governors and deputy governors of Jakarta until the Pilkada registration opens on August 27, 2024.
This member of the DPR RI for the electoral district (dapil) of DKI Jakarta II assessed that Jakarta is indeed the sexiest area because it is no longer the capital city but the Special Region of Jakarta (DKJ).
His status as DKJ, according to Eriko, became more free because when he became the capital city of control for the development of Jakarta, he was divided into two between the governor and the Ministry of State Secretariat (Setneg).
"That's what makes it sexy because it is no longer the capital city to be more free," Eriko told reporters, Friday, June 21.
In addition, Eriko continued, Jakarta will also become an agglomeration area that combines Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, South Tangerang, Bekasi, and Cianjur.
"Imagine that it's greater Jakarta, isn't it unusually big? Not to mention the plan to build a monument or say the Garuda project will limit Jakarta as well as to prevent flooding and also the provision of drinking water," said the former Secretary of the DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta.
Not to mention, said Eriko, the winner of the Jakarta Pilkada has a very big opportunity to run in the 2029 presidential election.
"This is clearly just not another candidate, (but) a presidential candidate. Or a minimum of vice president," said the man who was born in Medan, North Sumatra.
Therefore, Eriko said, it is unlikely that his party will carry its own cadres in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. At a minimum, he said, PDIP nominated its cadres as cawagub.
"Well, we are in the composition of the DPRD, we are the second largest, so it is very natural. This means that it is very natural that it can become a cagub, it can become a cawagub," said Eriko.
Nevertheless, Eriko said, PDIP could not carry its cadres in the Jakarta Pilkada even though it might be very small.
"The least likely is not at all our cadres, we are only supporting, it is the smallest," explained Eriko.

Eriko added that PDIP will cooperate with other political parties (political parties) in the Jakarta Pilkada. This is because all political parties have not met the requirements to carry their own, including PKS as the winner of the 2024 legislative elections in Jakarta.
"So everyone has the same possibility, no one can confirm that one party insists on becoming a candidate for governor or a candidate for deputy governor," concluded Eriko.
