Vice President Ma'ruf Asks BSI To Intensify Financing For MSMEs
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) to intensify financing facilities for domestic Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs.
Furthermore, Ma'ruf said the increase in financing facilities would encourage the halal industry in Indonesia. This includes spurring the expansion and inclusion of Islamic finance.
"Also increase the portion of financing and mentoring facilities for MSME business actors and industry business actors to encourage the growth of the halal industry and spur the expansion and inclusion of Islamic finance and Islamic social funds," he said at the opening of the BSI Internationa Expo, in Jakarta, Thursday, June 20.
Ma'ruf also advised BSI to strengthen the sustainable ecosystem and infrastructure of the sharia economy. As well as strengthen synergy, collaboration and cooperation with all stakeholders, includinglands.

"I want the sharia economy from the center to the regions to be stronger and various sharia economic programs in the regions to be accelerated," he said.
Ma'ruf also advised BSI to build the ecosystem with reliable digital infrastructure and also with a high level of security.
"I hope that with the efforts that will be made, BSI can make a bigger contribution to the national economy, support efforts to make the Islamic financial economy an acceleration of economic transformation, increase productivity, and maintain Indonesia's economic resilience and stability in the future," he said.
