Heru Budi Affirms Insiders Are Not Involved In The Looting Of Rusunawa Marunda
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono emphasized that no individual manager or insider was involved in the looting of the Marunda Rental Flat (Rusunawa), North Jakarta."There is no (involvement of insiders). I don't think so," said Heru in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta, Thursday, June 20.When the incident was revealed, Heru emphasized that he had instructed his staff to secure the remaining assets in the Rusunawa owned by the DKI Provincial Government.The DKI Provincial Government, continued Heru, has also coordinated with the police to arrest the perpetrators."There are several people who have been arrested, they have been processed," said Heru.The head of the Presidential Secretariat also admitted that he did not care what the motive was for the theft of residential assets in Rusunawa Marunda."I didn't understand what the motive was. The important thing is that he carried out looting, theft, so he was dealt with," said Heru.It is known that a number of building assets in Block C Rusunawa Marunda were looted many times. The objects of theft in the 500 residential units include doors, ceilings, windows, toiletries, sinks, and frames.
Rusunawa Marunda's condition is no longer livable. The occupants of Rusunawa Marunda had previously been recoiled in the Nagrak Flat. The occupants were also used by the looters.
