Croatian Supporters Hope Modric Brings His Team Up

BERLIN - Croatian fans hope Luka Modric and his friends will be able to bring their national team back and win the next matches in the 2024 European Cup.

This is related to the defeat of the Croatian national team to Spain 0-3 in the inaugural match of Group B at Olympias Stadium, Berlin, Saturday (15/6) local time or Sunday (16/6) in the morning WIB.

"Losing and winning is a natural thing in the world of football. Croatia lost today, but our next game will win," said a Croatian Davor supporter, quoted from ANTARA after Spain's match against Croatia at Olympias Stadium.

Davor admits Modric is no longer young as a footballer, but he believes the former World's Best player hasn't gotten off the engine yet.

Davor believes Modric will be able to bring Croatia to victory in the remaining Group B matches of the 2024 European Cup.

Another Croatian supporter, Ivan, also hopes that his proud team will continue to advance in the 2024 European Cup. He does not want Zlatko Dalic's team to return home quickly from Germany.

After fighting Spain, Croatia will face Albania in the second match of Group B of the 2024 European Cup.

Croatia will rise and survive until the semifinals of the 2024 European Cup. Yes, I hope they can even come out as champions even though many leading teams such as Spain, Italy, England, France, and the host Germany," said Ivan.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring, Croatian fans dominated the audience more than Spanish supporters at Olympias Stadium. The red, white, and blue colors which are Croatian flag identities color Olympias Stadium and Fan Zone at the Brandenburg Gate.

The typical Spanish supporters of red and yellow are not very much in Berlin.

Carlos, a Spanish supporter, said he was satisfied with La Furia Roja's victory over Croatia. "Spain shows its class. I had predicted Spain would win," he said.

The Matador team's three winning goals were scored by Alvaro Morata in the 29th minute, Fabian Ruiz in the 32nd minute, and Dani Carvajal before the first half ended. Spain played better than Croatia in the first match of Group B.
