Lee Sun Kyun's Latest Project, Project Silence Will Show In Cinemas
JAKARTA - The late Lee Sun Kyun has the last two films confirmed to be shown in theaters. Land of Happiness is confirmed to be broadcasted theatrically first even though the cinema has not announced its release date.
Another film, Project Silence, is now confirmed to be released on July 12, 2024 in theaters. At the same time, a poster and trailer were revealed for the first time.
Project Silence tells the story of several people who try to survive in the midst of chaos caused by military attempted dogs. These dogs were released on the bridge as the accident occurred in the middle of a thick fog that attacked the city.
The main poster shows Lee Sun Kyun, Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Hee Won, and Kim Soo Ahn facing the storm while behind them there are several military officers.
"Everyone who survives is the target," reads the tagline written on the poster.

The trailer shows dogs attacking the car, while Lee Sun Kyun and Kim Soo Ahn's characters face terror. Various visual effects such as thick fog, helicopters that collide to gas explosions and broken bridges.
Lee Sun Kyun plays Jung Won, the administrator from the Security Office who goes to the airport to take his son, Kyung Min (Kim Soo Ahn) to school abroad.
In addition, there is Jo Bak (Joo Ji Hoon), a truck driver who went to the scene after seeing the incident and Dr. Yang (Kim Hee Won) is the researcher behind Project Silence.
The film Project Silence premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. This film was later postponed after Lee Sun Kyun was involved in a drug case and died at the end of December.
