PKB Calls Kali In Jakarta Dirty Since Anies Left, Heru Budi: Maybe The Impact 5 Years Ago Was Not Managed

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono responded to criticism from the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PKB Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Hasbiallah Ilyas who said Jakarta had now fallen apart since Anies Baswedan no longer served as Governor of DKI Jakarta.

One of them, according to Hasbi, is that there are many rivers or rivers in Jakarta that are in dirty condition. However, Heru denied this. Heru assessed that in fact the river in Jakarta was dirty because the previous governor, Anies, did not take care of it.

"Well, that's true? Hehehe. The river (now) is cleaner. If it's even a dirty one year that I dreamed of, maybe the impact of five years ago was not taken care of, right?" Heru said when met at the Cakung Slaughterhouse (RPH), East Jakarta, Friday, June 14.

The head of the Presidential Secretariat claimed that many residents actually felt that the condition of the river was cleaner when he took office from October 2022 until now.

"How come I keep coming dirty? Maybe the impacts of five years ago were forgotten to be taken care of, now I take care of them. Many people say they are cleaner," said Heru.

Previously, Hasbiallah Ilyas emphasized that Jakarta still needed Anies to return to its leadership. He said this when announcing PKB DKI Jakarta support for Anies to be promoted as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.

"For example, don't go far, in my area of my house, it's not normal that usually clean now it's dirty. What's more pathetic," said Hasbi, Thursday, June 13.

Not only that, Hasbi admitted that he received complaints from a number of mosque administrators because currently the operational assistance for places of worship (BOTI) which is routinely distributed by the DKI Provincial Government has a nominal cut.

"I'm sorry, after Mr. Anies left for 2 years, Jakarta has often been complained about. In the past, mosque and prayer room administrators, the house of worship received a ceiling of Rp. 1.5 million per month, but today it fell because it was cut by 50 percent," explained Hasbi.

"This never happened during Pak Anies' time when he was governor. So, if Jakarta wants to be really neat, Jakarta wants to be really happy, happy, there is no other choice for PKB to Pak Anies," he added.
