Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Scheduled To Perform Eid Prayers At The Istiqlal Mosque
Spokesperson for the Vice President (Wapres) Masduki Baidlowi said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin was scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri prayers on Monday 17 June at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
"God willing, the Vice President will pray Eid al-Adha at the Istiqlal Mosque," Masduki said in his statement to reporters in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 14.
Regarding the sacrificial cows from the Vice President, Masduki said there would be one bull symbolically handed over to the Istiqlal Mosque. In addition, there are a number of cows that will also be distributed to the community around Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.
"The amount is not much different from the President's sacrificial cow," he said.
It was previously reported that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would provide assistance for sacrificial animals in the form of cattle for every province in Indonesia, including in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), in order to welcome Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri which falls on June 17.
Based on information from the Presidential Secretariat, President Jokowi will distribute 68 sacrificial cows to the government in 38 provinces, one for the IKN Authority, one for the mosque where the President performs Eid prayer, one cow for the Istiqlal Mosque.
In addition, President Jokowi will also provide 27 cows for traditional leaders, religious leaders, and community leaders in East Kalimantan, as well as mosques and Islamic boarding schools near the IKN area.

President Jokowi is said to be carrying out Eid al-Adha prayers at the nearest place from his last working visit later. Because in the near future the President will return to visit various regions for a working visit.
