Police Arrest 2 Robbers Killing Retired SOEs In Pekanbaru
PekanBARU - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pekanbaru City Police, Riau, arrested the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a retired state-owned business entity employee in the local area when the perpetrator tried to escape in Banyuwangi, East Java.
"Yes, it is true (already arrested) in Banyuwangi, East Java, last Thursday afternoon," said Head of the Pekanbaru Police Satreskrim Kompol Bery Juana Putra when confirmed, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 14.
The escape of the perpetrators must end in Banyuwangi, East Java, after a joint team conducted a series of investigations since the body of a retired BUMN employee named Saiwan was found at his home.
However, Kompol Bery has not been able to provide further information on when the perpetrators were brought to Pekanbaru City for further legal proceedings.
After ending the victim's life, the perpetrator was also known to have fled Saiwan's car. However, the vehicle he was carrying was found in an area in Bengkulu.
"On the way. The car was secured in Bengkulu," said Kompol Bery.
Previously, a retired PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru was found dead at his home on Jalan Bunga Inem, Sialangmungu Village, Tuah Madani District, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 night.
