FBR Chairman Registers With PSI To Advance For Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) Lutfi Hakim officially registered with PSI to run in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub). PSI said it was open to candidates whose vision and mission are in line.

"We at the Regional Head Election Desk are ready to provide full support for candidates who have a strong commitment to positive and progressive changes for Jakarta," said PSI Chairman of the Jakarta Regional Election Decree Justin Adrian in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12, as quoted by Antara.

He said PSI stated its commitment to support every candidate who has a vision and mission that is in line with PSI values, namely transparency, accountability, and partiality to the people.

According to him, Lutfi Hakim's experience and contribution as General Chair of the FBR, especially regarding the spirit of anti-perturbation and pluralism, needs appreciation.

"His experience in leading large organizations and managing various community activities is a valuable asset that can be applied to advance Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, Lutfi Hakim on the occasion also conveyed his vision for Jakarta which includes improving public services, education and health.

"My vision for Jakarta is to create a city that is safe, orderly, and advanced, with a focus on improving public services, education, and health. I believe that the spirit of togetherness and leadership that I bring from FBR can be applied to manage this city more effectively," he said.

Lutfi Hakim expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from PSI, he really appreciates the opportunity to register as a candidate for Governor of Jakarta from PSI.

Because according to him, PSI is a progressive party, without dowry, and has the same vision and mission as itself, namely anti-corruption and anti-perturbation.

"Currently I hold the mandate as General Chair of the FBR, so I understand very well what Jakarta's problems are, especially at the grassroots. I am also a real Betawi son, born and raised in Jakarta, so that I have a strong emotional bond with this city and a great desire to contribute to the progress of Jakarta," he said.
