Agate Participates In The Guidelines For Women's Friendly Rooms In The Indonesian Game Industry

JAKARTA - Agate International, a leading game development company in Indonesia and Southeast Asia announced its active role in drafting the Guidelines for Women's Friendly Rooms in the Indonesian Game Industry.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework to create a women-friendly and inclusive work environment within game companies in Indonesia.

The process of making this guideline is led by the Indonesian Women in Game (IWIG) with the support of the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), the Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE), and other game industry players.

"This guideline will be part of the history of the Indonesian game industry as an important foundation in encouraging equality and inclusion in this industry," said CEO and Co-Founder of Agate Shieny Aprilia in a statement on Tuesday, June 11.

As part of the preparation team, Agate is committed to ensuring that every woman who works in the game industry has the same opportunity to develop and contribute.

"We hope this guideline can be a clear guide for creating a safe and supportive workspace for all," added Team Lead Agate Academy Restya Winda Astari.

Chairman of the Indonesian Women in Game (IWIG), Riris Marpaung also stated that the preparation of this guideline was a big step in realizing a more inclusive and female-friendly gaming industry.
