JAKARTA - The Japanese government will destroy a condominium nearing completion in western Tokyo after residents complained that the building was blocking the view of Mount Fuji.Osaka-based developer Sekisui told the local government of their decision to cancel the project and destroy a 10-story building containing 18 units in the city of Kunitachi, located west of Tokyo's Perfektur, according to Kyodo News.Sekisui admitted that she did not consider local values, even though she had lowered the height of the building and held a meeting with residents.
Previously, a large black screen was installed in another city in the country to prevent tourists from taking pictures of Mount Fuji from the sidewalk.
