KPK Pansel Absorbs NGO Aspirations And Former Leaders For Capim Selection

JAKARTA - The Selection Committee for Candidates for Leadership and Supervisory Board of the KPK invites and absorbs aspirations from a number of NGOs to former KPK leaders regarding the criteria for the next period of the KPK leadership candidate and supervisory board.

During the meeting, former KPK leader Laode M Syarif was also invited to provide input to the KPK's Pansel Capim.

"Today, the final stage we met with CSOs, civil society and Alhamdulillah the arrival of Mr. Laode who has also been the leader of the KPK, ICW and so on now," said KPK Pansel Chairman Yusuf Ateh when giving a press statement at the Ministry of State Secretariat. Jakarta reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 10.

Yusuf Ateh explained that the meeting, which was held for more than two hours, received a lot of input from NGOs as representatives of civil society.

The input, said Ateh, will be taken into consideration to complete the profile assessment process for the criteria for prospective KPK leaders and the upcoming KPK council.

Former KPK leader Laode M Syarif emphasized that the aspirations of civil society and the media were really expected to produce the KPK leaders and adolescents expected by the community.

"For example, having a good track record, good leadership and being able to cooperate with the government, society, business, international, all of that was complete. Hopefully it can be obtained," said Laode.

The meeting between the KPK Pansel and the NGO leaders was part of a series of absorption of public aspirations with anti-corruption practitioners within 14 days from last week.

The involvement of community participation has also touched on the mass media and academics of the tertiary directors of universities that have been carried out previously.
