BSI Gandeng Qasir.id Optimizes Capital Access For MSMEs
JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) in collaboration with startup Qasir.id optimizes access to capital through financing to 24 thousand micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which are partners of the platform.
Through this collaboration, BSI will also play a role in facilitating MSMEs in terms of improving skills.
On the other hand, Qasir.id as a platform that focuses on moving in terms of payment of transactions for MSMEs, will synergize MSMEs for access to Islamic banking.
"The main focus of this collaboration is to provide wider business support to MSME players. This step is expected to accelerate the digitization of MSMEs and increase the operational efficiency of MSME actors," said BSI Sales & Distribution Director Anton Sukarna in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 10.
Through cooperation with BSI, said Anton, both parties agreed and committed to jointly advancing MSMEs through good, transparent, and measurable management and directly providing access to sharia capital.
Anton said that collaboration is also expected to be a successful model of cooperation between Islamic financial institutions and digital technology providers in supporting the MSME sector.
Qasir.id CEO Rachmat Anggara said the company's role would be more optimal if it worked together with stakeholders, one of which was the bank.
Until the May 2024 period, the company recorded that BSI MSME financing reached IDR 46.60 trillion. This figure grew by 13.41 percent on an annual basis (year-on-year/yoy) and was able to absorb MSMEs of more than 321 thousand customers.
In the first quarter of 2024, in total, the distribution of BSI financing reached IDR 247 trillion or grew 15.89 percent yoy.

For sustainable financing, BSI has distributed IDR 59.2 trillion in the same period dominated by the MSME sector of IDR 46.6 trillion.
Then in terms of funding, BSI's third party funds (DPK) experienced significant growth of Rp297 trillion or grew 10.43 percent yoy.
DPK's performance was supported by the dominance of low-cost funds, which grew 8.75 percent and demand grew by 10.52 percent.
In the first three months of this year, BSI has scored a profit of IDR 1.71 trillion. Meanwhile, the company's assets grew positively, which was 14.25 percent with a value of IDR 358 trillion.
