Muhammadiyah And KWI Reject Giving IUPK, Bahlil: We Love Those Who Need
JAKARTA - Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia admitted that he did not care about religious community organizations (ormas) that refused the government's Special Mining Business License (IUPK).
For your information, the Muhammadiyah religious organization is intended to reject the IUPK offer offered by the government. The suggestion came from a figure, Din Samsyudin. Several other mass organizations such as the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI), the Indonesian Churches Association (PGI), to Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonedia (PHDI), also expressed their rejection.
According to Bahlil, the decision to accept or reject the government's offer to manage coal mines is the right of their respective organizations.
"They said someone refused, yes, we give it to those who want it. If those who refuse, then what can be done, means they don't need it," said Bahlil at the BKPM Office, Jakarta, Friday, June 7.
Bahlil also said that giving IUPK to religious organizations was also not a joke. He said there are strict conditions that must be met by religious organizations.
Furthermore, Bahlil admitted that he had no problem with the views of religious organizations that expressed rejection at the beginning of the plan to give the IUPK. Even so, Bahlil said that he would still provide explanations to these mass organizations.
"We are a democratic country, we respect differences, we respect that opinion. If we are asked that someone refuses, someone accepts it, it's normal. If we refuse, it's okay. We respect it, but my feeling, there are no problems that cannot be resolved, everything will be resolved with good communication," he said.

Bahlil also emphasized that the provision of IUPK to religious organizations was carried out proportionally. The considerations are based on the scale of the mass organization and the land provided.
"Earlier I said proportionally based on the population as well as on the citizens and we want everything to be good. We want everything to be good, fair," said Bahlil.
"What is clear is that I want to convey that this basis is based on redistribution thinking and for the like of religious organizations as subjects and objects and at the same time participating in the government to contribute together with the provision of this IUP and the second one has gone through a mechanism and has been signed by the President," he continued.
