Nabire Papua Lanal Secures 5 Kg Package Allegedly Explosives From KM Labobar

JAKARTA - Commander of Lantamal X Jayapura Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Ludi Prastyono said members of Lanal Nabire secured a package weighing five kilograms suspected of containing explosives.

"The five kilograms suspected of powdering were secured by members of Lanal Nabire, Thursday night (June 6) at Samabura Harbor, when KM Labobar docked at the port," said Danlantamal X Jayapura Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Ludi Prastyono in Jayapura, Friday, June 7, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that five kilograms of items suspected ofwitting or explosives filled in a cardboard were found during the process of ups and downs of KM Labobar passengers anchored at the port of Samaburasa.

The cardboard was found without the owner, after members became suspicious of the package on the dock.

Brigadier General Ludi said that after being found and seen the contents, the dangerous items were brought to Mako Lanal Nabire.

Danlantamal X Jayapura, hopes that prospective and ship passengers as well as people who know or are suspicious of residents' belongings will immediately inform existing TNI-Polri members to be followed up.

Without assistance, it is difficult for the security forces to disclose and secure dangerous items.

"Explosives will be sent to Jayapura for research to ensure the type and content in the laboratory," said Brigadier General Ludi.
