Kerry King Says Slayer Will Not Hold Another Tour In The Future

JAKARTA - Kerry King said that Slayer will not tour again in the future. This was stated by the guitarist ahead of the metal trash legend's reunion at Riot Fest on September 20 and 22, and Louder Than Life on September 27.

"We're not going on tours anymore, it won't happen. We're not going to record anymore, that won't happen either. But to do a warning show, I think it's fun," Kerry King said during an interview on the recent Out Of The Box show.

Meanwhile, the reunion that will be held in September will be Slayer's comeback to the stage after their farewell concert in 2019.

The formation that will appear later is the same as when the band performed its last concert, featuring Kerry King and Tom Araya as the band's founders, as well as Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph.

"I'm going to put it in a perspective that everyone understands. We've been rejecting the offer since early 2020, due to the pandemic and so on. And then approaching the five-year anniversary we stopped playing, so I thought, 'Do you know? This is a three-show package. I think it would be nice to do. This is like a five-year anniversary of our last tour, "said Kerry King.

"I think people should say, 'Hey, it's a birthday celebration event.' It's going to be the end of everything," said the Slayer player.
