The Attorney General's Office Affirms Sandra Dewi's Status Is Still A Witness

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, emphasized that artist Sandra Dewi is still a witness, there has been no increase in her status as a suspect in a case of alleged tin corruption.

"Until now, the status of the person concerned is as a witness," said Ketut as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 5.

Sandra Dewi's name became a trending in the X application with 7,589 uploads related to her status as a suspect in a tin corruption case.

Regarding the information on X, Ketut said there had been no official statement from investigators in determining the suspect Sandra Dewi.

"If there is a change in status to the person concerned, we will definitely inform him," he said.

After her husband, Harvey Moeis was named a suspect. Sandra Dewi underwent two examinations at the Attorney General's Office, on Wednesday (15/5) and Thursday (4/4).

Apart from Sandra Dewi, investigators also took information from Sandra Dewi's sister, Kartika Dewi and her husband with the initials RS on Friday (31/5).

Then, on Monday (3/6), investigators examined Harvey Moeis' younger brother, Mira Moeis as a witness.

In this case, investigators named 22 suspects, two of whom have been transferred to the public prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta District Attorney, Tuesday (4/6), on behalf of Tamron Tamsil (TN) alias Aon as the Beneficial Ownership CV VIP and PT MCN and Achmad Albani (AA) as the Operational Manager of the CV VIP Mine.

For Harvey Moeis, said Ketut, it is still in the filing stage to be immediately transferred to court.

"Of the 22 suspects that have been determined, only 2 have been transferred to the court. It is possible that in next week or 2 weeks it will follow again for delegation to court," said Ketut.

Previously, Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah said in the case of Harvey Moeis his party charged him with his role in the case and then what he had obtained.

Sandra Dewi's investigation in this case is about what was obtained. This is to ensure that the assets confiscated by investigators are the real proceeds of crime or money laundering offenses.

"So we need information from his wife, especially if there is a statement separating assets, yes we have to make sure how to separate them, whether they are separated or not, they are not contaminated from the proceeds of crime in tin," said Febrie.

These two things were investigated by investigators from Sandra Dewi's statement. "So we need information from his wife, one regarding the role and especially regarding the finances obtained by suspect Harvey in tin trading," said Febrie.
