Acting Regent Of West Bandung Becomes A Corruption Suspect For Revitalization Of Sindang Kasih Market
The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named West Bandung Regent Arsan Latif as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the revitalization of Sindang Kasih Market, Cigasong, Majalengka, in his capacity as Regional Inspector IV Inspector Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
Head of West Java Attorney General's Office, Nur Sricahyawijaya, explained that the determination of the Navy as a suspect was based on an investigation warrant from the Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office Number: 1321/M.2/Fd.2/06/2024 dated June 5, 2024 and a letter of determination of the suspect (PIDSUS-18) Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office Number: TAP- 58/M.2/Fd.2/06/2024 dated June 6, 2024.
"The West Java High Prosecutor's Investigative Team has named Brother AL as a suspect in the case of corruption in the misuse of power/authority systematically in building activities to hand over (build, operate and transfer/BOT) at Sindang Kasih Market, Cigasong, Majalengka Regency," said Cahya in Bandung, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 5.
In this case, the Navy actively initiated the preparation of the Majalengka Regent Regulation concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of the Election of Partners for the Utilization of Regional Property in the form of Bangun Guna Serah.
He included provisions outside the provisions of Permendagri Number 19 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for Management of Regional Property and PP Number 27 of 2014 concerning Management of State/Regional Property.
"The goal is to direct PT PGA to meet the requirements in the auction process and finally PT PGA won the investment auction Bangun Guna Serah Pasar Sindangkasih Cigasong Majalengka," said Cahya.

The Navy is suspected of conditioning the auction process, where the person concerned served as Regional Inspector IV at the Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs and is currently the Acting Regent of West Bandung, receiving a sum of money through transfers to his personal and family accounts.
"It is reasonable to suspect that the money was received directly or through his family which was given several times to replace the needs during the management in making the Majalengka Regent Regulation concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of the Selection of Partners for the Expenditure of Goods belonging to the Berupa Bangun Guna Serah Region, by the suspect INA through suspect AN," said Cahya.
The Navy suspect also asked to supply certain materials for the Cigasong Sindangkasih Market construction project.
"In the Navy suspect, the West Java Prosecutor's Investigation Team imposed Article 5, Article 12 letter e, Article 11, Article 12 B of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code," explained Cahya.
