Sahroni To SYL's Children Will Be Presented By KPK Prosecutors At Tomorrow's Session
JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the KPK plans to present the General Treasurer of the NasDem Party Ahmad Sahroni in the trial of alleged extortion and gratification that ensnared former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo on Wednesday, June 5.
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Sahroni would be presented as a witness. He will be questioned before the Panel of Judges at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).
"The information from the prosecutor's friends is that it is true that tomorrow witness Mr. Ahmad Sahroni will be presented," Ali told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Geedung, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4.
Sahroni, continued Ali, would actually be questioned in the trial last week as a witness outside the case file. However, at that time he confirmed that he could not attend so the rescheduling was carried out.
Apart from Sahroni, later SYL's son, Indira Chunda Thita, who is a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem Party faction, will also be summoned. "We haven't had time to attend yet, tomorrow we will be given the opportunity," he said.
Sahroni was once examined in the investigation process. At that time, he was asked about the flow of money amounting to Rp850 million from Syahrul to the NasDem Party.
